What we collect
Devasangam is designed to collect as little personal information as possible.
- Language preference — stored only in your browser's localStorage.
- Horoscope sign and last-read date — cached locally so the page loads instantly on re-visit. Never sent to our servers.
- Community submissions — when you suggest a temple or contact us, your name, email and message are used solely to respond to you and to verify the suggestion.
- Aggregate analytics — page-view counts to understand which temples devotees love. Anonymous; no individual tracking.
What we do not collect
- We do not sell, rent or share your data with any third party.
- We do not require sign-up to use the website.
- We do not run third-party advertising trackers on the main reading experience.
Live video
All live darshan videos are embedded directly from official temple YouTube channels via the YouTube IFrame Player. When you press play, YouTube may set its own cookies as governed by Google's Privacy Policy. We use the youtube-nocookie.com domain wherever possible to limit this.
Detailed astrology reports
When (and only when) you choose to order a paid personalised report, you may share your name, date, time and place of birth. This information is used solely to generate the requested report and is retained only as long as needed to deliver it. We comply with applicable Indian data-protection laws including the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.
Your rights
You may request access, correction or deletion of any personal data we hold by writing to hello@devasangam.com. Browser-stored preferences can be cleared at any time from your browser settings.
Children
Devasangam is suitable for all ages. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
