Accessibility Statement
Last updated: 17 July 2026
Our commitment
Devasangam is built for every devotee. We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA and continue to improve as the site evolves.
Measures taken
- Semantic HTML landmarks (header, nav, main, footer) and a skip link to main content.
- Keyboard-navigable menus, buttons and audio/video controls.
- Descriptive alt text on temple imagery and aria-labels on iconography.
- High-contrast gold-on-dark colour palette tuned for WCAG AAA where possible.
- Scalable typography that respects browser font-size settings.
- Twelve regional language options for interface and devotional content.
- Reduced-motion support via
prefers-reduced-motionfor animations.
Third-party content
Live darshan is embedded from YouTube, which provides its own accessibility controls (captions, keyboard shortcuts). We cannot alter the accessibility of third-party embedded streams but choose the most reliable channels available.
Known limitations
Some legacy temple photographs may lack ideal alt text; we are progressively adding descriptions. Sanskrit and regional scripts rely on the fonts installed on your device or served by Google Fonts.
Feedback
If you encounter an accessibility barrier or need content in an alternative format, please write to [email protected] or use our Contact page. We aim to respond within five working days.
